Most tailors say that the shoulders of a suit or sport jacket is the crucial fit and can not be altered. Although I had a tailor do it one time. I'm not near that tailor and went to another who gave me the standard spiel. Just wondering why can't the middle back seam be taken in under the collar and then the collar if effected be adjusted??? Reason: Just picked up a sport jacket at Steinmart one size too big. It's an Alan Flusser in a nice pattern, and light weight. Not all that much too big (I could tell anyone who noticed that it was an Armani!!) Tailors? Anyone with experience in doing this?
