Has anyone ever tried planting safflower? I got a pack of sample seeds from the chinese kale I ordered from eBay. I researched on the Internet that safflower seeds can be turned into oil, and it is healthy.
I have never planted safflower before, but apparently, besides making a good nutritious oil, safflower seeds are used as bird and livestock feed. Safflower is also really easy to grow and the flowers can be used as a natural dye for fabrics. If I ever get the chance to have any safflower seeds, I would like to try my hand at growing them. I hope that you find that you like planting them and can find a use for them.
