@Lushlala@Lushlala I've also been buying a lot more pork and chicken these days. It's definitely cheaper, and there are many recipes online for various ways to cook them, so it's not as if we'll get bored anytime soon. I don't have a pressure cooker, but might have to invest in one someday. For now, I use the low and slow method of cooking, to tenderize the meat, and also sometimes use my slow cooker.

I shopped at a meat market a lot back home, because it was right down the street from where I lived. There isn't one handy here, although I follow the closest one to me on Facebook, and have seen them posting some good prices, so if I'm over that way anytime soon, I will definitely stop by to see how their everyday prices compare to the ones I pay at the supermarket.

@Diane Lane@Diane Lane...I actually LOVE pork, but for some reason, I always overlook it when I'm getting my meat. My dad always prepares a pock roast for our Christmas dinner, and I always feel like I couldn't do better because it's THAT delicious. I feel almost daunted to even try LOL But I think one of these days, I'll just have to bite the bullet and give it a shot because over here it's not too pricey. Thanks for the reminder :)

I only buy meat once in a while usually when it is on sale. Once in a while I will get lucky and find some discounted meat or Manager's Specials as my grocery store calls it. The meat may be close to the sell by date but is still good. They will put it on sale at a deep discount so it is much cheaper than other packs that have a sell by date that is further away. I always stock up on meats like that. Today I was able to get a really nice size pork roast for under $5 which is big enough to get two meals out of.
