Oh man, I'm glad she was able to get her money back. I despise those subscription things where the terms are hidden among all the gibberish on purpose, because they know most people don't have the time or patience to go through the entire document. I'm in favor of truth in advertising. If you have a good product, you should be proud of it, stand behind it, and not induce people to buy it or services they don't need or want.

:D I laughed when I read barge pole. We say 10 foot pole here, but I guess it amounts to the same thing. I love hearing/seeing different expressions for the same idea. I always imagine what the world would be like if these people who cheat, hack and scam would put their time, energy and talents into positive pursuits. It would surely look much different, and we would probably have cured a few fatal diseases by now, as well.

Whenever they want you to pay money to work for them, you should turn the other way! That's always the first indication that its a scam. Or if they need you to travel, and make you pay for car maintenance, food, gas, and anything over 35$ a night for the motel you find, in hopes of making a 5th of what you spent back in commission, you realize some people should be thrown in jail.

Hehe the barge pole LOL That's what we say in the UK, don't ask me where it came from. I do abuse it, especially where I want to emphasise I'm staying well and truly clear of a situation LOL But I do like the 10 foot pole too, so I might adopt that one too ;)

On a serious note, I do agree; I too have wondered what amazing things they could come up with if they channelled all their energy into innovative and productive projects. They all seem to be very hard working and have the smarts too. They must get a kick out of conning people. Doing something useful with their time is clearly too boring for them!

Potheads and acid chemists should be added to the pool, too. I have seen some amazing things happen when people tried to make something to smoke out of. as for the chemists, I had a friend who was just getting to experimenting to find the best acid recipe when he got arrested for having marijuana growing in his shed. The drug arrests meant he was never allowed to study chemistry at school, get licensed, or buy any chemicals. Now he makes moonshine.

Which site did that? I've never heard of paypal doing anything like that, considering they're such a well respected company, it would be disastrous for them.

Paypal makes mistakes now and then, I'm sure. But I agree with Yosh... it isn't normal for them to do so. they are usually really easy to work with if you DO have a problem, too. I've had my account for 11 years, and i have never really had any issues.

@TalTBest@TalTBest, I know Paypal charges a fee, in my country it's $6 when the transaction is unsuccessful. Maybe that's what happened to your account? You ought to call that company and ask why that happened.
