I was wondering what everyone thinks of the sequins trend that's been around for a long time, and seems to never die! What do you think of women wearing sequins in day to day life? Are sequins an evening look or an everyday look? Do you find sequin dresses comfortable? Are they too much? Personally, I think that sequins are great and can really make your look stand out. I find that some sequinned clothing can lead to scratches and other marks being left on my arms due to the sharpness of the sequins. Overall, I love sequins and think that can spice up any boring outfit.
I hate sequins on almost anything. I think they cheapen an outfit, are extremely uncomfortable, and if any sequins fall off (even just a few), it seems extremely noticeable. I'm not a big fan of glittery, sparkly stuff anyway, so maybe that's just due to my taste.
I do agree that sometimes sequins can make an outfit look a bit cheap. I think I like them so much because I'm a huge fan of glittery and sparkly things! I do find that sequins can be very uncomfortable though, sometimes they make a piece of clothing sag in a particular way and they can scratch parts of your body. I think that sequins can be fun to wear for a night-out though, as long as you still have taste about them!
It will always be a "nay" for me. It really hurts my eyes whenever I see sequins on casual clothes. I think they are only appropriate for party dresses, but never on clothes that you wear at daytime to work. A few pieces of sequins totally destroys the overall look of a piece of garment and that's what I really don't like about it.
Yay, of course!! As long s you know when, where and how to wear them! You shouldn't wear sequins in the morning, to a business meeting or a whole outfit with sequins from head to toe, but wearing sequins for a night out in town with friends, or at a fancy dinner is great! It stands out, it's fancy, it's fun and cute!
I think sequence should be saved for special events. I don't think its should be worn ever day but instead for going out or going to parties. I think the best time to wear sequence is on NYE or during the holidays.
Sequins is one of those things that you have to be careful about. It's is either done tastefully or it will look bad. It is also embarrassing if the sequins fall off because now you have a patch in your clothing. Plus those things are hard to pick up off the floor or wherever they drop. Definitely OK for a night out or something.
I think it's tolerable to the eyes for a night out at the bar, but I'm not a fan and I would never wear them. It really looks uncomfortable and I would have to agree that it can scratch your skin.
