Has anyone ever tried the shammy cloth. It is supposed to make paper towels obsolete. I was just wondering if it was worth the money. Is it as durable as they say it is? Will it last through alot of washes?

It will of course last very well but the commercials exaggerated it to no limit.
I even did an experiment with my whole class to prove that the commercial was a joke. The spammy cloth will clean like a paper towel but it will not absorb a cup full of water.

It just acts like a towel that is a bit more absorbent than most types of cloth. My husband uses it for the car when he washes it at home. It doesn't work as well as the infomercials claim when it comes to cleaning though. As for durability, if you follow instructions it does last quite a long time.
