I'm not sure where to put this, but I discovered an app called SnipSnap today that has quite a few coupons. It shows you the barcode so that you can just ask the cashier to scan it instead of having to print it out. It seems like a great idea, and I hope that it works, because it would be very convenient for people like me who don't have easy access to a printer. I've seen quite a few restaurant deals, such as at Olive Garden and Red Lobster, and even more retail deals, such as at Old Navy, Kohl's, and Best Buy.
I've tried using this very app at several stores and have had no such luck. The cashiers and managers look at me like I'm some crazy fool. I did call Dollar General Corp over a deal I was refused because their store would not accept the coupon via the app. I was livid. I may look into redownloading the app and try to take advantage of discounts. I'll program corporate numbers in my phone just in case I get turned away again.
