Have any of you heard of a solar or sun oven? I just came across this new technology yesterday in an RV book. I'm pleasantly surprised it exists. Have any of you tried it out? If yes, how well did it work? What problems did you encounter with it? Lastly, where can one buy this?
Are you talking about the kind that have a shiny reflector that directs the sun to a pot or pan to cook stuff? They look interesting but seem like they would really only work on very sunny days. I would rather just start a fire personally than fumble around with one of those. Not to mention, from a safety standpoint, you could just as easily accidentally start a fire with one of them too if left unattended and it tips over.
Sweet! I'm loving the solar products these days. I would love to live entirely without electricity etc. Maybe I'll start collecting
