As many of the other posters in this thread have already stated, many companies pertaining to food do this. Even down to microwave meals that are advertised on television. They always depict this luxurious steaming meal that looks tasty as hell, or bigger than it actually is in real life. You kind of just learn over the course of your life to chop these advertisements down to reality size in your head, so that you know what you will really be getting, if that makes any sense.

The commercial are trying to lure you to buy their products. You will get so disappointed when you go actually buying their products. The contrast is so big and it is hard to believe that what they are promoted is so much different from what you are buying. This teach me try not to expect too much otherwise you can get very disappointed indeed!

The problem has never been what the seller sells, it's why did you allow yourself to buy it! A human selling whatever he/she is selling, has the right to do so as long as what he/she is selling and doing does not harm, injure, or wrong another man or woman - it is no different than your right to pick your nose and scratch your butt in a public area. So when I see people write complaints about Subway marketing their products like this and that, all I see is a person that is a whiner and ignorant of whom he/she is and has a illusion of knowledge of economics.

Repeat: The problem has never been what the seller sells, it's why did you allow yourself to buy it!

By that logic, most of the food that we human beings consume today is being sold illegally to us. GMO - Genetically modified - food in and of itself has been proven to be harmful to us human beings on a long term basis, yet they are still feeding it to us, and genetically modifying our DNA right along with it. I expect to see some mutations over the years. Negative and harmful ones. They aren't labeling food as GMO either, even when we request it. It is all about money unfortunately.

Just about all ads concerned with the sandwich market shows "green leaf lettuce." I do not care which place you go to, you will never have green leaf on any sandwich. Whether it's Subway, or B. King or what-have-you hot dog stand it is all the same. The ads and the in store pictures are all dolled up to look like the greatest thing since Ali. The food is all pretty good, it just doesn't look like the picture.

All commercials are designed that way. They are designed to entice you into wanting to purchase the item, so they make it look better than it is. Have you ever bought a burger that looked as big and juicy as it did in the commercial? Funny part is, that is considered false advertisement in a way because you are not getting what they are advertising. Wonder if anyone has ever tried to sue a restaurant for that?

Yes there is plenty of false advertisements and propaganda on television! Most products advertised on tv are GMO products and are not labeled as such.I used to love Subway sandwiches until I found out they make pizza's as well lol Nothing like choosing any toppings you like for an affordable price.
