Do you tend to eat less in the summer time? I find myself being alot less hungry, maybe due to the heat. So what are your eating habits like in the summer?
I agree, in the summer I eat only once or twice, and it's usually a really light meal. In the winter, because I'm inside anyway, I go into hibernation mode and just feel like eating all the time.
That's funny. I thought when you hibernate you just sleep and not eat anything. Where I live, there is no winter and summer. Just very rainy weather and not so rainy weather. When it rains and rains for days without stop, I tend to get more hungry faster. Maybe it's because my body is burning up more calories to keep warm.
I don't think I eat less in the summer. I do eat a lot *lighter*. I eat a lot more salads and fruit. Sometimes, a bowl of soup and a sandwich is more than enough for dinner. I don't like to do any major cooking in the summertime. It's just too hot to turn the oven on. Grilling is favorite way to cook during the hot months.
I usually tend to lose weight in the summertime because I eat a lot of cold and fleshing things such as melons and watermelons. I eat a lot less bread which is where I gain most of my weight from. I am very happy with my summer eating habits and I hope that this year I can lose a little more!(haha).
mostly in summer i eat only twice in a day so i think so any one have not any special eating habits in summer,
Not tend to eat less, but I have a poor appetite in hot summer. Anyway, summer is really a good season to lose weight.
I noticed the same thing: that I eat much lighter foods in the summer. Also, in the summertime, I tend to be out more, and since I don't usually have much money for eating out, if I forget to bring a lunch with me I'll inevitably end up skipping a meal.
No,there is no change in my eating habits during summer. If there is, it must be increasing rather than decreasing. For one, the kids are in summer vacation and their presence in the house always challenge me on what interesting snack they would be excited about. So that means I have to bake, cook, grill, and think of other innovative ways to make them happy with their food. That means also that I have to eat with them. They want me to eat to be there, eating with them! So, what shall I expect?
I won't eat less, that's unhealthy.. but I eat TONS more greens and fruit. Love love love summer eating. I have a thing for BBQ and camping foods too.
I eat the same amounts albeit of different foods. Of course, the produce, which is in season is different. It is cheaper to eat what is in season so my meals are quite different. However, I do not actually eat less overall. In addition, if the weather is hot then it is more comfortable to eat cool foods (such as salads) than something straight out of an oven (such as baked potatoes).
More fresh fruits, vegetables and salads get into my meal plan in summer. I generally do eat a lot of those, but in summer my consumption of meat comes down to minimal. I snack on melons and cucumbers to get over the exhausting heat and forego my meals. I drink plenty of water.. plain water , the only juices I will have is coconut juice or some unsweetened vegetable juice. I do tend to lose weight in summer.
I eat mostly junk food during the summer. Could be because of the weather, but when I have the AC on, I return to normal foods that I eat every other season. I usually eat watermelon during summer. Very refreshing fruit
BBQ & cold beer season! We also eat a lot more fruits and veggies during the summer. We like to have salads a lot more in the summer as well. I really don't think that we eat any less, just a different variety of foods instead.
I eat like a baby dinosaur during the summertime. It's probably the heat that makes me do it and I also feel like dehydrated all the time! I eat a lot o fruits though so I feel more refresh.
Yes, on some days I tend to eat a lot less during summer because of the sweltering heat, it makes me lose my appetite because I tend to drink a lot of water, so it makes me feel full. I guess it's good in a way, because I get to lose a bit of weight.
I am the same way. It's definitely a lot more fun to eat during the cold seasons. On summer, I think if I eat too much it will just contribute to my fat content and I will feel even hotter, so I just lessen my intake altogether during these times. I also find that most of the summer dishes tend to be sweet things on ice and I'm not really one that has a sweet tooth so it helps in my decision to eat less.
During warm seasons I tend to eat less because I don't like the feeling of having a full stomach when the temperatures are high. I drink a lot of water, green tea and lots of fruits and vegetables. Also, a good idea is to switch to light meat such as chicken or fish because those foods are easier processed by the organism.
