Sweet foods

My most favorite sweet foods are snow cones and ice cream. I also like chocolate but honestly I've only been recently getting into them since I grew up pretty much ignoring sweets and desserts. Now I have discovered how nice they are especially after a big meal. My favorite will always be snow cones though because I like that it's not creamy and doesn't make you thirsty.

 

I also just remembered something we always do even when it's not summer since it's mostly hot year round here anyway. We always have small gelatin snack packets and juices chilling in the freezer so we just take one or a few out whenever we need a cold refreshing ice snack. It tastes great and it's very refreshing, not to mention extremely cheap.

 

The best way to save money from spending on sweets is to make them at home yourself. I have a sweet tooth and indulge in sweets at least once a day. Hence I end up making them at home using lots of sugar and coconut. I love making my own sweets.

 

I buy ice cream during the buy one, get one free grocery store sales and get different flavors so I don't get tired of it. The prices have gone up this year like other foods. I have found that the grocery store labels are cheaper and just as tasty and high quality as the brand names like Pet and Breyers. As far as chocolate goes, the prices have really gone up this year too. If I don't find a two candy bar for a dollar special in the grocery store in the check out line, I buy my chocolate mini bar six packs at the dollar stores for a dollar. That is plenty of chocolate for me. It's a great place to buy Halloween candy for cheap, depending on what you are looking for. Wal-Mart is no longer the cheapest place to buy candy anymore.
