What is the best tablet that you could suggest to me? Is Blackberry's Playbook better than the new iPad? Which do you think would be more reasonable to buy?

I think Google's Nexus 7 is the best tablet on the market now (especially for the price), although the iPad with the retina display is a great one too. However, I'm really curious to see what HP will come up with, as the company is banking a lot on their expansion into tablets. I have never tried it, but I sincerely doubt that the Blackberry tablet is anywhere near the others in quality or value.

I would go for either the ipad or Nexus 7. Those are going to be your best bets IMO. But really it depends on what you plan to do with the tab. If your just going to facebook and check email, almost any tab will do.

I don't know much about tablets, my brother is the genius when it comes to that. He knows everything about technology, whereas i am a complete dud when it comes to technology etc. Lol. But by what i have heard though...Apple is the way to go. It may cost a bit more but I am planning on getting one when I am teaching in Bangkok. So yeah...I would say: go for Apple.

I'd definitely recommend the Nexus 7 at the moment - it's so much nicer than the iPad and a lot less restrictive than Apple's product range.

However, if you're willing to wait, I think that the new Windows Surface tablets will be amazing - I've tried out Windows 8 already (developer version) and it's truly built for touchscreen/tablet usage and runs amazingly well.

The Nexus 7 is great, but if you want more power then go with the Asus Transformer Prime tf700. It can handle all your tasks, and it runs applications smoothly. If you're not into a bunch of tech stuff the Nexus 7 would be a better fit in my opinion. I haven't heard of the Blackberry tablet, so it must not be doing so well. The iPad is a strong choice, but in some games it can be a bit sluggish.

I have a iPad. I live it, although I didn't buy it myself, it was a gift from my daughter. Apple products seem to be a bit more pricey, so that may be a concern. I've had it for 2 years, and it still works great.

Hmm I have never really considered the Nexus 7 but I'm going to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation guys! I wonder what y'all think with the Blackberry Playbook? I'm also tempted to get that one but I'm afraid it has very limited apps.

The Blackberry playbook is a bit smaller than most tablets out there on the market. The great thing about the playbook is there's a flash player, but the iPad doesn't have that feature. The screen on the iPad has a better resolution and it's about 9.7 inches. The playbook has a 7 inch screen, and both devices don't offer a physical keyboard attachment. The apps on the playbook aren't as much as the iPad. It really comes down to personal preference in what you're using the tablet for in general. The text input on the playbook is not great because of the smaller screen, but if it doesn't bother you then I would get that one. Prices on both of these tablets are reasonable the iPad is about $400 and the playbook is around $250.

I've done a lot of research about these tablets for work. If money is not a factor for you then the Apple iPad is the best tablet on the market. However, if you're more economical and looking something that does the job well then the BlackBerry Playbook is a good option as well, but I'd suggest waiting until Christmas because the BB tablet will definitely go down in price yet again.

I just recently bought what seems to be a no-name-brand tablet from priceangels.com and it does everything that I need it to. It was less than half the price of the other tablets named in this thread.

Is there any lag when you scroll down the screen? Can you post a link so we know which one you're talking about? It would be great if you could give a little review in your post, so people can have another option when buying a tablet.

Myself, I am waiting to get one of the new laptop-tablet hybrids. HP has got one out like this:
    0U5tq.

It has a touch screen, too.

I'm thinking about getting an iPad, but I have been looking at the Nexus 7. I think they're all cool and a lot better than owning a regular labtop.

Personally feel good iPad. BlackBerry cheaper price then.
If you do not consider the price, choose iPad.

Personally, I'm not really interested in tablets. They seem to be more of an entertainment device. Now, I'm very interested in the Microsoft Surface Tablet because it addresses all the concerns I have about tablets.

I did recently watch a video about the Lenovo ThinkPad 2 tablet and it looked great. I might check that out even though it doesn't have a keyboard. I like a physical keyboard which is one of issues with tablets.
