The one thing technological improvements have brought to the world today is making it a global community. This gives people so much access and reach to any corners of the world through just one click on the phone or laptop or any communication devices.

Now with this advancement, the old school natural means of communication and socialization is now almost going extinct or severely limiter. People don't travel across the globe today to associate, but rather they do so through online social media connectivity.

Do you think in no distant time, technology would totally scrape the old means of communication and socialization?

Yes, I agree with this, though it can be the other way round too, as long as we use it wisely, it does help to bring each other closer and easier to communicate. I always use WhatsApps nowadays to contact my neighbors especially when we want to visit each other or have anything to share among ourselves, as it's easier to chat in a group in this way and it's free.

The old ways of communication are not only going extinct but also the mutual connection people had through communicating face to face is also not practiced. People find it easy to argue through texts and break ties on phone calls.

On the brighter side, technology has made it easy to communicate with people worldwide and be able to get help faster in times of emergency. It is also easy to spread news to a large number of people at the same time.

It totally agree with you. People rather prefer to do make friends on social medias and the face to face communication with people is no longer practiced. Technology has really made the world a global village. Making things more easier and convenient for people.

It is already happening that people communicate via the internet particularly the social media. That is the primary reason why people are hooked on their smart phone especially when there is free wifi in the vicinity. They are into social media all the time, checking for new posts and news from their circle. Where before, people would hold a gathering of friends just to meet, now it seems to be forgotten because people can meet in the social media network any time and any day.

Every new technology has it's share of pros and cons. As much as I'd love for the communication technology and social media to prosper and even rich new heights, still there are things that will really get worse or complicated since everything needs a balance. People getting too much on social media tends to have a lesser interpersonal relations with their family which would become prevalent as technology keeps evolving.
