To cut right to the chance and answer the question, a mockbuster films are cheap and poorly made ripoffs of more famed and high quality movies. For example the mockbuster films, go check out the movie company Asylum and its films. My question is, do you think this is a good way to earn money when your on a budget? These movies aren't exactly great and purposely rip off of other films yet Asylum has made bundles of money on their movies and have not loss any as of yet. They give little money into their film but always manage to bring back nearly twice as much money if not more.

Is there an audience for these kind of movies? How are they distributed? Seems like a lot of work to me though, and many things that could go wrong.
