Thorogood boots are made in USA and very high quality. They are half the price of Red Wings and the quality is close, although not quite as good. Thorogood use a Goodyear welt, the same leather (rumour has it they use the same tannery), triple stitching, the same laces and Vibram sole as Red Wings. The only difference is the build quality and the insole, Red Wing is leather and Thorogood is artificial and removable.
