I stumbled upon a cleaner that now I can't seem to live without. It's called Totally Awesome and it's super cheap...$1! I was looking for something to clean the awning on our travel trailer and this cleaner was suggested by many avid RVers. I will admit I was skeptical because it was so inexpensive, but I went to Dollar Tree and picked up a bottle. Wow! It is a great cleaner. I recently used it to clean greasy gunk off of the outside of our deep fryer. It now looks and feels brand new (no more old, sticky residue that sometimes seems impossible to get off).
I have seen that one before, but I was always scared that it would take the paint off of my truck when I was trying to use it. Does this take off the paint or not? If you can let me know because I always love cheap!
I can't say I ever tried it on my car, so don't know if it would take the paint off or not. It didn't take any paint off the side of our trailer if that helps at all.
I have been using Awesome for some time, it does live up to its name. I dilute the solution and use it to clean walls and the carpet. The solution can clean the bathroom as well as your car without dulling the shine.
I wish there was something like this in the UK. We wouldn't call it Awesome though, probably something like Jolly Good!! Here we have specialised cleaners for things. So I have a bathroom cleaner in the bathroom, kitchen cleaner in the kitchen etc. It would be great to have a generic cleaner that was good inside and outside the house for lots of tasks.
I used to manage a convienance store. A guy was going around the area trying to sell it to some businesses. It was the totally awesome stuff, and I bought one bottle. It didnt make it a week before it vanished. I was so mad though!!
I love LA's Totally Awesome cleaner but you definitely have to dilute it with water so it doesn't strip the paint off of your surfaces. There's a guide on the bottle for how much water to add to clean different things. I think it's the best value for money of any household cleaner.
Wow! I never heard of this cleaner before. I'll definitely keep an eye out for Totally Awesome, especially due to its low pricing and relatively high effectiveness. From what others have said, we'll need to dilute the solution with water to avoid paint removal. I hope I can locate this in the nearby dollar or convenience stores, as it seems to be a semi-rare find.
This is a new one to me as well, and it does sound like it lives up to the name. I’ll have to look around and see if I can find it. Thanks for the tips, everyone!
