Never heard of TNT or My Hermes. Do they delivered goods from America to the UK? Is UPS allowed to move a package from America to the UK, and then drop it off to MyHermes or TNT? Some programs in the U.S. move packages to your local area. Then they dump it off to your local post office who then deliver it to you.
The United Parcel Service is definitely not the best, nor the fastest when it comes to shipping. However, in my experiences FedEx is worse. When shopping online, I personally use UPS over FedEx, as FedEx shipping is the true definition of "snail mail." They are so slow. Also, the weight of the package impacts the speed in which it will be received. In general, avoid using Economy Shipping, Standard Ground Mail, or FedEx SmartPost. They are all terrible.
Really? I thought UPS was on-par with their deliveries. Fedex is the one I've had bad experiences with. They once delivered to the wrong address. Fedex usually delivers very early, and UPS delivers pretty late at night.
I can relate. I've had a shipment that was said through their system it was out for delivery and I was about to freak out because it was going on six o'clock and still hadn't arrive. Eventually it did although their system said it was suppose to be ship a lot earlier in the day.
I've only had positive experiences with UPS as well. I love that their tracking information is always up to date and always accurate. I've used other mail services that told me my package would arrive on a certain day and it actually arrived earlier. That is great, but I like to know the exact date so that I can plan my schedule around that. They just leave packages by the door unless someone instructs them not to. So to save all the hassle, the delivery sate should be accurate.
UPS is really inconsistent in my opinion. I live in Canada and I've had some packages stolen or opened before by their own employees! The whole refund and email dispute process that follows the reporting of the stolen package is also very annoying...
It's unfortunate that you've had your parcels damaged or stolen. I think this is a problem with all couriers. I watched a programme about a popular courier in England and the footage was shocking, no wonder so many parcels are damaged.
I've had issues with UPS a couple of times. The first time, I received a document in a hard cardboard envelope and it was bent from folding. Obviously it needed to not be folded if it was put in a hard cardboard envelope. The second time, it was just a slow delivery.
I'm from Canada and I have use UPS a few times cause for some reason Amazon uses it and I can't say that I have un pleasant experience from them or anything cause the first time I actually camp at my door and waited for my item for hours and it did arrive on time. The second time I wasn't camping at my front door cause it says it will be delivered at a later day but I did see the UPS van parked outside and being a busybody I went and open my door and to my surprise my package came early by 2 days. So far there isn't any complain against UPS from me but i can't say the same for other people. Maybe it's because we are canadians =P
Maybe UPS Canada is staffed better than UPS U.S. version. It's possible. I guess that means UPS over here should lower their prices since they are so slow. But I got a package from Fedex last week that was smashed all to hell so apparently, it's across the board.
