USB Type-C is perhaps better known as the reversible USB connector. It's coming with USB 3.1 on devices starting in March. The convenience of a reversible USB plug can't be overstated, since it can be plugged in either side up. You won't have to flip it around every time you try to insert the wrong side up! Plus, Type-C and USB 3.1 allows for higher data transfer speeds (double the previous standard) and faster charging times for devices (thanks to a higher current maximum).
