I have been into vinyl records lately but most of them could come really pricey. Anyone here could help me find a place especially online where I could get them for an affordable deal? I'm going to be starting collecting them now.

I think the two best options for buying vinyl records online would have to be eBay and Amazon. Your best option is probably going to be offline though. I would check into local thrift stores, garage sales and Craigslist. I would also check local music stores as some of them do purchased used ones and resell them. Good luck!

I buy my vinyl from Discogs, it is the equivalent of eBay for vinyl and there are lots of bargains to be had. It depends on the music you listen to, are you talking about modern music in the charts? Vinyl is becoming obsolete so you will struggle to find modern music on vinyl at a fair price.

Ebay is where I get my vinyl from, I sometimes visit a local vinyl shop called Flashback but I find their prices very high so I stick to Ebay. You can even get job lots on there sometimes.

Ebay is a great resource. In this sense, we can find small shops selling their records online through this trading platform. You don't have to limit the United States. The shops located in other countries offer quality discs at a very affordable price and shipping costs are minimal. Of course, you have to take the time to search for these records, but it's a worthwhile task. Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, France are countries where I got great deals on high quality vynils and all through Ebay. :)

There are some thrift stores that still carry them as well if you don't mind digging through to find one you might like. I'm guessing you want to shop online because you're looking for a specific one. There are some specialty sites too besides ebay where you can buy vintage records. I can't remember the exact name of them lol but you can look it up.

Thanks for the tips guys! I appreciate them. I found one thrift store near my area and found some good deals on tracks that I have been looking for. Although the Motown ones are still expensive. Sigh....

I would suggest trying ebay as well. Vinyl records are a dying art, and some people are trying to get rid of them. So those who still see their value such as yourself, could get in on some great buys at ebay or even Amazon. Another idea, is to look for yard sales in your neighborhood. You would be amazed at the stuff that can be found at these. You know that saying one man's junk is another man's treasure. That really holds true at a yard sale.

I usually see vinyl records at thrift shops, and sometimes, you can even find them at a yard sale.
I used to have a lot of records, and when I sold them, I found a shop in our town that specialized on old records, and that is all he bought and sold.
I have also seen records in some of the little bookstores, where you can trade your books for some different books, so you might try that out also.

I find a lot of vinyl in charity and thrift stores. The problem is that anything remotely decent or sought after will get snapped up very quickly leaving most customers with poor condition sleeves and mediocre compilations that nobody wants anyway. For music you want, I think you will need to go to specialist sites or stores and expect to pay a premium.
