So I'd love to know what everyone prefers between Walmart and Target...

Me personally, I hate Walmart! It doesn't matter which one go in across the whole country. Their customer service is awful! The people that shop at Walmart are awful! Their stores are always a mess! I really despise going into a Walmart and avoid them all costs. Every now and then though I get stuck going into one, but I would rather drive crazy far away then do that!

While i prefer target between the two because of a bad experience i had with walmart once, i think they are generally pretty good when it comes to the range of items that you can find from them. That aside, i guess Target has a better customer support.

I prefer Target over Walmart. I like the customer service and cleanliness of the Target. The closest Walmart to me is a dirty and unorganized mess. I have been in several Walmart stores across the country and it's one of the worse I've seen. Walmart is lower most of the time, but I still prefer Target.

I prefer Target. Walmart has cheaper prices. But Target is so bright, and has really nice stuff. And you can't beat the clearance, and the deals you can get with all their coupons and mobile codes.

Honestly, I would prefer Walmart over Target simply based on their prices. The reason is because I'm not going to spend a lot of my time shopping, so even if Target is a more organized business, it doesn't change the fact that I'm spending more cash for the same products.

Target is much better when comparing value for quality, Wallmart is kinda a ripoff if you ask me.

Unlike others, I have nothing against Walmart. They have always had decent customer service with me, and their online grocery is so cool.
However, between both I would definitely go with Target. It has more from everything there. Also their beauty and fashion sections are actually very nice, and those are the most important for me!!

I cannot stand WalMart. Their employees are sloppy and lazy. The customer service is rude and slow. They never have enough cashiers, and they make you wait in line for a long time. Their employees don't ask you if you need help. If you find an employee to ask a question, they are short with you and act like you are the nuisance. The stores are dirty and unorganized.

Target is clean and organized. Their quality of products is better. They have great sales. Their customer service is wonderful.

I actually prefer Walmart over Target. The Walmart stores I have been to have been pretty good. When I have had a problem, I had a member of management address it fairly quickly. They tend to be cheaper too. I don't have any complaints.

We shop at Walmart more than any store mainly because it's closer from where we live (about 5 minutes) and cheaper overall compare to other stores. I go there so much that I know plenty of people who work there so they'd go through their length to help me find something that I wanted but couldn't see it in the rack. They'd always say hi to me when they see me followed be 'how is it going?'. It always makes me sad though to see elderly stand in front of the walmart and greet you 'Welcome' especially when they are on wheel chair and I could have sworn I saw someone with oxygen tank next to him before! .

I prefer Target to Walmart. I think that Target tries to market itself as a "slightly more upscale Walmart" in many markets, my area included. Prices are reasonable, the red card debit card rewards are great, customer service is excellent, and the stories are not as dirty or cluttered as Walmart.

Can you explain more about Target's coupons and mobile codes? This is new to me.

OMG! I completely agree with you! I forgot to mention that to begin with. You may spend a touch more at Target but the quality of the products is way better! Especially on the target brand compared to the Walmart brand. Walmart brand stinks! I do however like Walmart's apple juice, but shhhh don't tell cause I hate Walmart!

Target has a smart app, on their app you can see the weekly ad and get coupons and special deals. Target also sends a lot of coupons in the mail. Target also has a credit card where every time you use it you get 5% off or if you don't want a line of credit if you bring in one blank check they can get you the Target debit card which saves you the same 5% every time you use it and comes directly out of your bank account like a normal debit card.

Most of the time too Walmart's lower prices are only lower by a bit of change anyway so my Target card makes them lower in price than Walmart!

I believe that Target is a much better store than Walmart. Firstly, the quality of goods sold at the store are better than Walmart. The customer service is better at Target (in fact, everywhere else seems to have a better customer service than Walmart). I think that this is the case because I watched a documentary showing how Walmart underpays and overworks its employees, and there are even problems of racism and sexism there. I have also seen some Walmart stores that are not cleaned properly.

I would have to say that I definitely prefer target just because I live in New York City and I never had a Walmart near this area and I've never really been to Walmart other than one stop during a vacation. I am sure though that the prices are all very similar so I don't feel as though I'm severely missing out just because I only shop at target instead of Walmart.

When I am looking primarily at price, I go to WalMart. It almost always has the lowest price - and I do not find the problem with dirty stores that has been described here (though that could be I live in an area where expectations would not tolerate it). Target has some very nice specialty selections. Perhaps it is a silly example, but I only get Christmas decorations from Target or a specialty store. Wal-Mart just always has a lousy, mundane selection there.

I prefer Walmart. There's a wider selection of products at Walmart and they often beat the prices at other stores when I compare prices when buying specific items (say, when I bought a new vacuum). When it comes to cheap clothing items, the brands at Target aren't bad in style or price. I can usually find anything that I need at Walmart, whether it's pet supplies, toys, electronics, or food. You won't find the same selection at Target. I used to live right across the street from a Target, it's not a bad store, just not my first choice.

I haven't been recently but the last time I was there, there was no self check out? I prefer self checkout, whenever possible.

I know about the Target card, but I didn't know about the smart app. I hope there is an Android version because I will be checking out the Google Play store. I have also seen the weekly flyer, but I have never received coupons in the mail. I have to find out how to get those too!

I prefer going to Target because it has more varies of things I like such as clothes, electronics, hair products, notebooks, and more. I like shopping at Target because it's less busy, and there aren't that many crazy shoppers comparing to Walmart. The cashiers at Target are nice most of the time, and they are very helping when you ask questions about any particular product.
