I wish I could say that I don't shop from either of them. I almost don't. I prefer Mijer and Khol's. There are times that I really need something and Walmart ends up as my destination. I always feel a little dirty just walking through their shiny guilt reflecting doors. Ahh, but that is consumerism. Sometimes you have to buy from the beast.
While Target doesn't have Wal-Mart beat in pricing overall I would much rather shop at Target, rather than Wal-Mart. Because of the price difference I would never want to go grocery shopping at Target, but their housewares, clothing, electronics, toys, and pretty much everything else seems to be slightly better quality than what you see at Wal-Mart also.
Target has better quality items from my experience, the prices may be a little higher but I'm alright with that. The archer farms collection seems to be really good food. I went to Wal*Mart the other day for groceries and I actually spent more than I would have at Kroger, so I'm not even sure what the incentive is to go to Wal*Mart.
I prefer Target over Walmart. I prefer the quality of merchandise, employees, and shopping clientele. Walmart may have lower prices, but the quality is lower. The shoppers act like ignorant at times. I have encountered many rude persons shopping at Walmart. When they first came around I loved to shop there, but in the recent years my view of the giant is not such a good one.
