Watching TV - overrated?

    At the moment I would never get rid of my television. Sometimes when you're alone it's nice to just have a friend in the background :( Seriously though, I NEED my TV. I love Netflix and to an extent YouTube etc for viewing content. Content you want to watch on demand without advertisements can never be beaten. Also their are loads of programmes on TV that I would never watch if I saw the title online. TV helps me watch things I wouldn't have watched otherwise.

    Same here. In fact, it's actually been over 10 years since I've watched TV. The fact is, I have no patience to sit through the stupid ads. Why should I continue to be sheep for advertisers when I can just download and watch only the stuff I want to watch online.

    Well it depends in which country are you. Where i live the television shows are pretty much trash and i end up streaming US television series and getting stuck with these. Although the culture is a bit different, i can relate to the scenarios and i enjoy them. So no i do not watch local TV, because i think it is a waste of my intelligence
