    You can also save water by using self closing taps which automatically adjust themselves when one stops pressing on them when drawing water. Water used in the kitchen should be used to water plants instead of throwing it away. A common way that water gets wasted when using the tap is when people use water to wash hands and one should use a sanitizer instead.

    We used to save rinsing water in watering our garden. But it's difficult now since our older children have left home. But we still save shower water to wash porch and vehicles, and flush the toilets. Laundry water is connected to some parts of the garden.
