For those of us on the Northeast of the United States, we have access to a supermarket called Wegmans. Well not all of us, but those of us in New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and a few other states have access to it. It is hands down the best store in my area. I love their organic produce selection. Everything is fairly cheap and fresh. They also have a nice natural foods section with a wide variety of natural, wholesome, often organic foods and vitamins. Their freezer section is enormous! I can't think of anything that the store does not have that I would expect out of a supermarket. Rating: 9 out of 10
I haven ever actually been in a Wegmans but I have heard of them. Next time I am up north visiting family I will have to stop in one!
We had one closeby when we lived in PA but I've yet to see one here in MD (at least in my area). I wasn't terribly impressed with them, honestly. Everyone raved and raved and I was so excited about it for the reasons that you cited, mainly. Good, reasonably priced organic food. Ours wasn't huge, the prices and selection were alright but the customer service was really very lacking. The whole experience just wasn't a very positive one.
