I only need a functional mouse, so I don't spend a lot of money on it. The last one I bought cost me about $14 AUD and I haven't had any problems with it at all. Most of the time I use my laptop and only ever need a mouse for photo editing or for complicated paper work. These days I prefer to work without a mouse whenever possible as I used to get quite a lot of shoulder pain in the past.

I used to believe gaming mouses were better but I have a cheap Microsoft optical mouse and it's the best I've ever had. Dpi is just a preference and laser isn't better than optical as far as I know. Razer tries to make people believe their mouses are better but many pros don't use very expensive mouses.

I use a cheap mouse too. It cost me 6$ a few years ago when I bought it. Since then it has been functioning nicely. I've no problems with it at all as I almost never play games on my computer. I use my computer only to surf internet and for that purpose, My cheap mouse works well.
