I love torrents and I use them a lot to download HD shows that I wasn't able to watch when I was younger, notably FRIENDS, and How I Met Your Mother. Torrents are also a great way of downloading because you can simply leave your computer on idle mode, leave and do other things, return and voila! You've already downloaded your favorite shows. It saves a lot of my time unlike when I direct download a file, and I get disconnected, I need to re-download the file all over again which I find very hassling.
You use torrents to download HD TV shows? You could stream the HD shows. But on the other hand, they can be hard to find in HD, and episodes may be missing due to copyright infringement, whereas if you just download the entire show via torrents then you don't have to worry about finding all of the episodes. I don't think they will ever find a solution for torrenting, which I love
