I know there's that saying 'everyone has one book in them', so I was wondering, if you do write a book, what kind you'll end up with? I think tbh I'd like to write the kind of books I like reading, but I don't feel like I could write anything anywhere near as good as some of the books I've read in the past. Must be really hard work, t sit there all day every day by yourself until you're happy with it
I will definitely write a book. I am a professional freelance writer and as soon as I can make time from writing for my clients and save a little money in the bank I will write my own book. It will probably be a women's popular fiction type book as these are the genre I like to read and I will be able to draw on my experiences.
I have wanted to write a book since high school. I know I have a story in me, it just does not want to come out and show itself in writing. Many say that all you have to do to start writing a book is to write - and it is true. It is just that I am a perfectionist, so every time I start writing, I find the smallest issue with my writing and I get discouraged to continue. However, if I get this story I have in my head (among other ones), it will be crime/thriller with a tint of love/psychology/secrets.
I am forever saying that I will write a book. I have quite a colourful life so far and have met some interesting characters along the way. My friends always say I should write about it. But I agree I don't think I could meet the challenge as I have read some fantastic books. I would like to take a course before I try and write a book so I know how to structure it.
I am an aspiring writer, I mean I do write but you know how it gets. But I would want to write like a thriller novel along the lines of Fight Club or maybe some Nolan-esque story, but I have yet to find a genuine inspiration for it and I have yet to find time to do so. But I would definitely be writing fiction since all the time I have these crazy ideas and scenes that I formulate in my head at random and I think they'd make up for a great novel, now I just need to think of a story arc.
One of my goals is to become a published writer someday. I have a couple of books started and now I just need to discipline myself to finish writing them! They're fiction, which I enjoy reading and basically like action/adventure with some mystery thrown in, too. It's been said that it's not the writing, but the editing and I can definitely relate. I have a tendency to do a lot of editing, but hopefully one day it will pay off! I have written some Website articles for other's to publish on their Websites through Textbroker, however I just don't like the idea of giving away my writing for very little money and basically selling your copyrights too, but it is good writing practice and since my college writing professors feel that I have what it takes to be published it's something that I'll keep working on. It would be pretty awesome to see my name in print someday though, I must say!
My great epic yarn will tell the tale of how I become a rich entrepreneur after my brilliant idea of starting a cricket farm and selling super organic peanut butter cricket snacks. I'm not even kidding, I'm going to try pitching the idea to some organic food stores in my town. I've already ordered some crickets I'm going to breed for cooking and food. I'm not joking and no I don't live in a developing country.
The cricket idea is unique that's for certain! I like peanut butter, but I don't think that I'll be eating any crickets anytime soon. There was a TV special on not long ago though where they talked about what goes in to certain types of candy and it made me glad that I'm not a big candy eater!
