I like water - I can consume about 2 liters per day. Aside from that, I also drink protein shakes, coffee, tea and lemonade. But if I were to choose a drink that will keep me satisfied all day long, I'd still go with water.
I drink a lot of coke every day. The regular one. I drink at least two bottles daily of that. One during lunch time and the other after dinner. Aside from coke, I also drink coffee in a regular basis every morning and in the evening when I am trying to make myself awake to read my medical books.
Aside from water (which I still need to drink lots of it daily!), I drink milk, coffee, Rooibos tea, and cool drink. When I'm out, it's normally cappuccino, hot chocolate, Coke or chocolate milkshake. Green tea is expensive here, which is why I'm going to stock up when I'm back in KL!
I drink tea like crazy. Sometimes I'll drink 2 quarts a day. I first brew the tea and then I stick it in the fridge to make it 'iced'. For 2 quarts I only use about 5 artificial sweeteners so that cuts down the artificial stuff a bit. To add more flavor, I'll put in a little 1/2 n/ 1/2 or some Kefir, which is a fruited yogurt drink. You'd be surprised. Adding just a little bit of that creaminess makes the tea quite yummy.
I know where you're coming from because I'm not one for sugary drinks, either. What I like to drink on a day to day basis is tea. A nice cup of green or jasmine tea keeps me relaxed and calm. I love how fragrant these teas are as well. If the weather is too hot for traditional tea, I like to add honey to sweeten it a bit and cool it down with some ice. This makes the tea refreshing during the summer season. Tea is also extremely healthy for the body, so that's yet another good point to the beverage. I really reccomend you to try this out, it's delicious!
I drink juice, gatoraid and 1% milk when I don't have water. I drink water the most though. I have it with every meal. If I want something sweet, I have it after I'm done eating. I find I don't drink as much of the sugary stuff this way and it's more enjoyable if it's not mixed with the food you're eating.
I drink "artificial" orange juice Mostly from the Tang brand. I like many of their flavors, but orange, apple and watermelon are my favs.
I mostly drink water, but when we are going out to eat, I will occasionally get a tea or lemonade. I used to be hooked on Coke as a child, but after quitting cold turkey, water is really all I have the need/want for. Also, as a member stated already, some teas are so naturally tasty that they can be easily consumed without any added sugar.
How about flavored water? There is an abundance of these, and many are just water and flavoring, no sugar or sweetener. If you need the sweetness, many are flavored with stevia. Then again, you can make your own flavored water, with a dash of lemon or frozen chunks of fruit. I love sipping on a cup on unsweetened green tea. The flavor is delicious with no sweetener. Herb tea is also a great alternative. In the end though, everyone needs some pure, unadulterated water, which we've greatly gotten out of touch with.
They have a new flavor of water that I just love and you may want to try it. It's called mint water and we know that mint is very good for you. So try that one and perrier water also, they have them in different flavors also. But my favorite is mint water because it taste great and also keeps your breath nice and fresh. You can't beat that can you, really fresh. Or you can always make some applecider vinegar water to drink and we know that is good for your total system.
i drink a lot of black coffee and water throughout the day and then have a glass of red wine before bed. works for me
I may sound boring to you, but I only drink water, black coffee and tea. I mostly consume water during the day and only coffee in the morning and tea throughout the day and evening. I guess I have no flavor in my life haha. I avoid juices because they are too sweet and would rather just eat a real fruit instead. I did like Crystal lite...did you try the cranberry flavor? It goes will with gin but I'd not advise sipping that all day of course.
I try to drink tea throughout the day, but sometimes I forget. Also, regrettably, I drink much more Mountain Dew than I should, because my husband has a Mountain Dew addiction and always has it in the house.
I gave up sodas for several years when I had braces, and the funny thing was when I could start drinking them again, I almost didn't like them. They would kind of burn my mouth, so who knows how corrosive they are in reality. I enjoy drinking plain iced tea, and I have an iced tea maker. For some reason, I'm always too lazy to unwrap several tea packets to brew it, then wait for it to cool down. Tea is so much cheaper too than soda, and you don't have to bother with carrying all those heavy cases of it into the house from the grocery store.
