I have a bunch of VHS footage I'd like to save.
I know this is fairly easy, because a lot of people do it.

    What equipment would I need?
VHS player of course, and what else?

I've been wondering this myself. Yet, fortunately I don't have a ton of tapes that I would want to convert but I read that you have to take it to a particular company to have it done for you but I need to double check. I'm sure there are a ton of people who have this issue.

A friend offered this service to me several years ago. My wedding is on a VHS tape and I want it to be transferred/converted to a DVD. My friend is good in technical stuff and has been doing similar services like this from time to time. And as far as I know he only did it at home using his desktop, vhs player, a special software and cable.

Anyway, I did some research a while ago and find this tutorial on how to do it myself (because I still have several VHS tapes that I want to convert). Here's the link to the tutorial >>
