Totally into horticulture, indoor and outdoor gardening, but I'm only interested in flowers and plants. I love indoor gardening specifically and have about 60 plants throughout my home. I am surrounded daily by all types of plants, some I've had for more than 20 years. Never been able to get into veggie gardening because I like the aesthetic beauty that flowers and plants offer. If I had acres and a huge back yard I might set aside a corner or two for vegetables, but I am not sure I would enjoy it that much.

I wish I would be interested in growing vegetables. My parents grew everything: lettuce, kale, tomatoes, figs, blackberries, peaches, herbs, pumpkins, zucchini, cucumbers, carrots and probably more that I cannot think of right now.

But me? I love flowers and always have. I've gotten pretty good at growing them now, too. But maybe one day I'll grow some veggies.

I mostly have herbs because I only have a tiny garden. I have oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary, cherry tomatoes and eggplants. I find rosemary hard to grow. Out of the four that I planted, only one remains. I'm already using these when cooking, I just love using fresh herbs because it gives each dish a little extra something. Makes everything tastier! I also use oregano to make tonic for when there's someone in the house with cough.

We have a cherries tomatoes plant in the backyard. It would be much better if my dog didn't destroy it as often :p

My daughter and I feel weirdly sad about the mint plant we lost today. We bought a tiny, scraggly mint plant out of pity and I carefully took care of it until it grew into a bigger ,healthy plant. Over the last few days, I started noticing it was looking sick, and it turns out that it was swarming with ants that built a nest in the pot and started eating the leaves. I tried repotting it in new ant free dirt, but they found it again and now it's completely dead and brown. These black ants also killed 2 of my tomato plants. I don't know what I can out on my remaining plants that will kill the ants without killing my herbs or making them toxic.
