So a few years ago, my family bought a product off an infomercial which we never ended up using. It wasn't like it was on tv, and so was pretty rubbish. Ever since, we've stuck to normal shopping and pretty much stayed away from infomercial items. What is it about an infomercial that makes you want to buy the product?
The better infomercials make products seem really good, but don't oversell. Those type of advertisements get to me because there is a certain level of sincerity in their approach. Sometimes I get "burned" when I buy a product, but most things do something or other along the lines of what was offered. They won't be as awesome as stated, though.
