What Is the Best U.S. State to Retire In?

    it’s South Dakota, with Oklahoma 43rd & Florida (which I thought was DESIGNED for retirement) ranking 39th.

    I think the best retirement (for some) is an active retirement ... meaning that you MAKE your retirement good!

    What do you think?

    Interesting that south Dakota topped the list, was it because of low cost of living? Wonder what other factors came into play with coming to the decision. I'm surprised that Florida didn't top the list more since its such a cliche' that seniors go to Florida to retire. I would want to retire where there was a warm climate not too hot though, low cost of living, and where it was a state or city that had alot of active seniors.
