My brother gave me my first laptop which was a Mac, then when I tried to buy a Windows one he told me off. I did use it for a while and then switched back to Mac, because it is better to use. I also used to do demos for laptops and I did buy an Asus and it was cheap and got annoying. It was fine for browsing but not for working.

Most workplaces have Windows so I have used a variety of brands and I still prefer a Mac these days for work. it's more reliable and for me easier to use.

The general rule to go by is:
If you are buying a computer for gaming purposes, get a PC.
If you are buying a computer for work purposes, get a Mac.
The capabilites of Macs for any kind of work is a lot superior to those of any PC.
A PC however has a lot of support for all kinds of games, software, etc.

I own an Asus C200 Chromebook, and the biggest factor in that decision was price. It cost a mere $200 and came with a great keyboard/trackpad. Plus, the 12-hour battery life was impossible to beat at that price, so it was a no-brainer for me. It's not the most powerful device around, but I'm more than happy to sacrifice computing power for not having to plug the laptop in across multiple days of use.

I own a pc since I remember my self, so the reason I always go for the pc is beacuse I'm familiar to it. I neve r owned a Mac and I don't know if I will ever get one, at least not in the near future. I also play games on my pc and I know that some of them are incompatible with Mac.

My choice is HP, and it hasn't got anything emotionally attached to it, I just like how they make their products. I was never disappointed by them. My 2nd choice is Acer, but I see it's very bad looked upon here for a reason or another.

It was on sale and it was a brand (Acer) that I had used before. If I'm being honest it was the price that was the main reason for me.

Right now I currently own a PC. I'm not a huge fan of it, but it gets the job done. I have a Toshiba, and I'm not really in love with it. I got it for Christmas as a present, so obviously I didn't get to pick it myself. If I had gotten the choice of picking my laptop then I would have gotten a Mac. I just like the look and feel of them more. Every other electronic that I own is Apple. I just like the way they are made and knowing that what I'm getting is worth the money. Plus there is so much that you have to get when you own a PC, that I try to stay away from them.

Budget was my biggest reason to choose PC. I only had around $400 when I was buying my first laptop. Mac hardware costs too much for what you get. Windows offers more software and offer greater flexibility.

Windows also offered me a better gaming experience. For $400 ASUS gave me a fantastic laptop for moderate gaming.

I don't usually notice a difference but my desktop is an Asus and it seems like an okay computer so far. I got it because it was the best deal price wise. I said I wanted a computer to be able to play the Sims on and I didn't think it was too bad a price for the amount of memory it has. It also came with a free game from Steam (big deal not much selection but still a bonus just the same) and there is also a gaming center with a few free games on it. The only problem I am having right now is Firefox crashing a lot but apparently that's common with this version and wouldn't be the fault of Asus.
I decided to get a Mac laptop though because as a computer geek I wanted to be more experienced and possibly be able to impress employers with it. I now have Windows on it. I hope to be a graphic designer and I hear the Mac OS is good for graphics (it does have a HD picture) The Mac is more complicated but it's the best of both worlds to me as you can run Windows on it. You can't run Mac OS on Windows. They are highly expensive so I got an older model to save money.
