I am a frequent iPhone user and am looking forward to switch to Android. Can anyone help me of what smart phone should I purchase? Is Samsung S4 the appropriate choice? any feedback from the users would be appreciated. :)

Thanks PhRoxy for your suggestion... I have researched about some other smart phone brands such as Sony Xperia Z and LG Nexus 4 (Google Phone) to be dynamic as well... any reviews on these brand smart phones?

I don't have much knowledge about both of these phones which you listed over there. Tell me one thing why you are not interesting in Samsung Galaxy S4 phone? I think its the best choice.. one thing which is totally new technology in that phone is there is sensor in the phone which detect the eye position of phone user when he is reading something and phone automatically scroll the page up when you are at the end of page.

I recently got the Samsung Galaxy S4 and it is seriously amazing. Everything looks so nice on its screen and the pictures I take are seriously mind blowing. I like to go hiking every now and then and pictures I have taken of the sunset from the peak is just so beautiful! It has many other apps that I don't really use and battery charge has been pretty good too. I have always been an Android fan for my phones and the S4 certainly lives up to its expectations.

If you don't want the S4, I'd recommend the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. It has a big 5.5 inch screen and an S-pen stylus. I am using the device right now and it's absolutely superb. You could also go for the HTC One which is currently the best HTC phone to date or the iPhone 5. You can't go wrong with these phones.

I love Samsung Galaxy. My husband has an iphone from work, but I like mine better. ;)

I'm sure you will be happy with either phone.

I just came across this Facebook post and thought I would share with you. The comments were good indicators of which phone is better, but I still think its personal preference.

I'm an iPhone guy myself. I've been very happy with mine since buying it almost 2 years ago now. It definitely helps that my home computer is a Mac but there are tons of great features for non-Mac users as well. My understanding is that Androids are a lot like PCs and while super customizable they are also riddled with problems and eventually become slowed and muddied. I personally would not want the responsibility of constantly having to keep my phone clean and free from viruses/junk.

Get the motorolla droid razr.... the battery life on that is amazing....you can get up to 32 hours with intense use.....that for me is bliss as most smartphones drain battery like nobodies business

I was just at the Verizon store today as a matter of face, looking at the phones. Not that it's a surprise or anything, but I would have to say that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is the best phone on the market right now. It's got a gorgeous large, bright screen and it's lightweight and thin, not to mention fast as heck. There was absolutely no lag whatsoever when I was playing around with it. I don't understand what people see in the iPhone 5 when compared to the S4, it looks so tiny and dated, plus you can't customize the screens like you can on Android. Last year I almost picked up a Motorola Razr Max HD with the extended battery, but I think I may hold out a little longer and get the S4.

If you haven't tried a Windows Phone then you are in for a treat, I believe the latest one is HTC One.

I think the Sony Xperia offers a really good selection as long as smartphones goes. It has a great battery life, good screen, nice design and it runs really smooth.

Haha, with all of these suggestions, I hope that the op does not get confused on which cellphone to buy. However, it seems as though more people recommend the S4. I think that he should stick with that phone. It's all the rage right now.

I agree with the S4 also. I don't own this phone but I am really thinking of getting it soon myself, I know someone who owns one and says it's better than his iPhone (that broke)

Hi, I have the HTC Evo, which is an android, and I love it. It has nice graphics, easy to use and plenty of apps to choose from. My nephew has the S4 and he likes it. You need to go see them instore so you can get the full effect of the screen. I tried a few of the android phones and decided on HTC which I found comfortable to hold and easy to use. Good luck with your search.

The Samsung S4 is amazing compared to most of the other phones at the moment. I'm happy with my iPhone and I prefer the interface to Android, but if I was going to go for an Android phone, that would be it. My second choice would be the Note 2, but it's too big to carry in some of my pockets.
