I'm going to get an air purifier for my room small but I've never bought one before. I'm trying to spend less than $100 but cheaper would be preferable. Would you recommend any? It's tempting to buy an expensive one in belief that it's better somehow but I wouldn't know the difference. I want one because there's dust in my room and I can't open the windows. I haven't been diagnosed with any breathing problems and I don't have allergies so I probably don't need something very special.

I'll be interested to see what replies there are to this thread, I've been looking at buying an air purifier myself but I don't know anyone else who has one for any kind of advice or suggestions etc, so would like to know what kind of purifier to look out for. They seem to vary in price quite a lot but not sure what the differences are really, or what kind of impact they have on the air quality.
