I noticed lately that there have been alot of Walmart commercials where it almost seems like they're desperate for your business, you can just tell... it just makes me wonder what if they're sales are starting to slip or if there have been complaints. I do alot of shopping there but from time to time I notice that the price on the shelf is cheaper than what rings up at the counter it's really annoying. I wonder if it's just incompetence on their part of if they do it on purpose expecting you won't notice.
I have not noticed a problem with the pricing. I think it is usually human error in either not changing the shelf tags or in the programming. If you notice it, bring it up and they will rectify it I am sure. I really don't think it is on purpose and I have found the customer service there typically quite good. Especially at the service desks. As to the commercials, I didn't notice anything unusual especially at this time of year.
I javent really noticed the increase in commercials to be honest. I also havent dont major shopping at walmart lately. ive gone in for a couple of small specific items and they all rang up correctly
Walmart is still my favorite super store. I can't see myself not shopping there, because of all the great deals that they always have. I have been loyal to Walmart for some time now. They just have everything you need in abundance.
The only subtle change I have noticed in their advertising campaign is a nod to 'the little people' working at their locations. Insofar as having a bunch of 'employees' in the commercial letting you know how great Wal-Mart is treating them and that they are not protesting the unfair work conditions outside. As far as their stock is concerned they seem to be doing just fine. I suppose they want to increase their public opinion stock.
Wow! That's not good. We have a local grocery store that is horrible about having sale ads, but then not changing those prices in their system. I don't even shop there because I don't want to have to have my eyes peeled on the register. I haven't noticed that problem at our local Wal Mart, but truth be told I'm pretty much anti-WalMart, but they've ran pretty much all the other decent grocery stores out since they built their super center, so you can't hardly get away without shopping there :/
I think that Walmart is trying to polish up their appearance to the general public. They are trying to make it seem like it is a great place to work and shop. I think they are putting out more commercials for the holiday season. They need the sales too. Personally, I can't stand Walmart. I am a Target fan!
The following was in the news: Wal Mart is having a food drive in their stores, not to help the community in need, but so that their employees can afford their thanksgiving meals. Here's a link to the story:Log In What's kind of interesting about this for this particular year is that the employees won't really be needing thanksgiving dinner since they'll be working at the store due to the Thanksgiving Day opening (instead of Black Friday).
Honestly I think it's laziness on the workers part! I go to walmart a lot and have the same problem. I always pay attention to the price if it rings up more than what the shelf price says I make sure I let them know. Because if the price is marked on the shelf and it is different at the counter than they have to give it to you for the shelf price its their policy.
Yeah I think it's just the laziness of the workers like most everyone else thinks! Walmart stinks anyway. I try to avoid that place at all costs. The employees at every Walmart are just awful. But wouldn't you be if you worked somewhere for many many many years making basically nothing and couldn't afford Thanksgiving and had a bin at your store asking poor people to donate to other poor people!
