As planting season is rapidly approaching here, garden centers are popping up in parking lots everywhere. Whether it is the local mall or grocery store there are a lot of options when it comes to buying stuff for the garden. With so many options available, I find myself spending less time debating the types of plants to buy and more time debating where to get them.

Are seeds the best option for you or do you prefer to buy small plants? Do you think the quality of the plants in the grocery store parking lot equals that of the nurseries? Do you like to get larger plants or smaller ones?

I buy my plants at the Walmart Garden center because they get their plants from the same plant nursery here in Florida that Home Depot gets their plants from and the plants look big and healthy.
I prefer to buy herb plants that are already established rather than grow herbs from seed because I've had mixed results with seeds.

In addition to the big box stores like Home Depot, there is a local seed and feed store that has seasonal plants suitable for my area and I usually get my tomato plants from them. Also, there is a farmers market near my home where I have found all manner of plants. I don't have the patience for seeds anymore so I usually buy established plants or seedlings.
