I have a Dell with Windows XP that I plan to dispose of. Can I somehow install/transfer that copy of Windows XP to the new PC -- which has different hardware configurations? If yes, how ?

Also does Windows XP comes in 64 bit?

You can't transfer the license or the software and XP is no longer supported effective early next year and is not for sale any longer

You can no longer purchase a machine that has Windows XP pre-installed with it.

What I can suggest though is that you find a Windows XP installer online and try to install it on your new machine. :) I know you can use Google.

If you are having any trouble, just shoot me a message. ;)

Microsoft is giving away free copies of Windows XP, you just have to pay for the shipping. Not sure if the offer is still currently available, so you might want to check out their website to confirm.

    Pre-installed XP machines?
I don't think you can find those anymore. You'd have to buy a regular PC and install XP. I suggest upgrading to 7 though.
