In my country, I find that if I should need a replacement exterior light, especially the headlight, the cost is very exorbitant and I wonder why this is so. My thought that it should not be expensive to manufacture these items because they just seem to be ordinary plastic that can be easily made in a mold. I may be wrong, however, perhaps there is some special procedure in the manufacture of these lights. Maybe someone out there may be able to tell me something I dont know.
It's the labor that is expensive. Our rear signal light went out and when we call one of those in an out repair shops we were not happy with the cost of the repair. We ended up buying the part which had the instructions on it and replaced it ourselves total cost less than $15 US dollars.
