$40 is definitely a very fine price, however, I am definitely not attracted to Win8.. I think I'll just skip this iteration altogether, as I did with Vista, because I am not a fan of the new look..

I am really looking forward to Windows 8. It will have full Kinect support, I wonder what this will feel like. I'm hoping it will be like in minority report, the way Tom Cruise uses those little gloves to move information around the screen. If this will work, and work well, I think Microsoft will make a giant leap in sales overall. It's the future Apple couldn't bring with their new line of products.

Thats awesome, but what if you don't have windows 7 on your computer. How much is just the non upgrade version of Windows 8?

Microsoft did a great thing by making it a $40 upgrade. More people are likely to buy Windows 8 now with that price. It's a great strategy, but will the price last?

That's great news for those who intend to upgrade their current Windows OS to Windows 8, since the cost is quite cheap at $40. As for me I don't intend to upgrade anytime soon, but when I'm ready to upgrade then I'll take advantage of this offer.
